Living Positive Resource Center is proud to present Kelsey Serwa and Kevin Craig
as the Co-Chairs for The 14th Annual Okanagan AIDS Walk.
Kelsey Serwa

This 20 year old Kelowna native got her skiing start at a young age. With her grandfather, Cliff Serwa, co-founding Big White Ski Resort in the early 1960’s, it was inevitable that Kelsey would lead a life greatly influenced by the skiing community. Starting in the Nancy Greene program, Kelsey gradually progressed from level to level in the Alpine world.
In 2008, the avid Alpine racer made the decision to switch from alpine to the “dark side” of skiing. After a summer of learning the ropes and bumping elbows with fellow team mates, she earned herself a spot on the 2008/2009 Canadian Ski Cross Team. In her first year on the World Cup circuit, Kelsey made it on the podium twice, including a second place finish at World Cup finals and finished 3rd overall in the World Cup standings. She also claimed the Canadian National Champion title in March of 2009.
With her successes, she caught the eyes of many and was awarded the 2009 FIS Ski Cross Rookie of the Year. This winter, she won three World Cup races and proudly represented Canada with a 5th place finish at the Olympic Games in Vancouver. Kelsey is eager for improvement and has her sights set on becoming the overall World Cup Champion, World Champion, and an Olympic gold medalist in the years to come.

Kevin Craig

Kevin caught the city’s attention last November when he became the youngest member of Kelowna’s City Council.
With his focus on moving towards a more prosperous and sustainable Kelowna, Kevin has brought a new and welcome perspective as the city’s newest councillor. Kevin’s community involvement is extensive; he currently acts on the Board of Directors for a number of community groups, including the Kelowna Community Food Bank and United Way. He is Vice President of the Kelowna Rotaract Club and a member of the Central Okanagan Foundation for Youth.
In 2007, Kevin was Valedictorian of his graduating class and was also awarded Young Male Citizen of the Year. His recognition and achievements are numerous and we are proud to have Kevin as Co-Chair this year.
