Living Positive Resource Centre would like to invite you to join us on Sunday, September 19th, 2010, for the 14th Annual Okanagan AIDS Walk sponsored by Interior Savings. The Walk will be held at Kerry Park in Kelowna. Registration and a delicious, low-cost pancake breakfast will start at 9 AM with the walk beginning at 10:30 AM, and awards and prizes will be given out at 11:30 AM. It is your opportunity to be part of this huge event! Join us for a leisurely walk along Kelowna's waterfront, from Kerry Park through City Park and back again. So come dress up, enjoy great entertainment and be prepared for lots of fun!
ARE YOU "RED"Y FOR THE OKANAGAN AIDS WALK?
This year, we are inviting you to WEAR RED to support the fight against HIV and AIDS! Crazy red costumes are encouraged but simply wearing the color is awesome too! There will be exciting prizes for the ‘Reddest Individual’ and ‘Reddest Team’, as well as the Top Fundraisers! All the funds raised for the walk will stay right here in the Okanagan, helping to improve the lives of those impacted by HIV and AIDS. So get RED-y for the 2010 Okanagan AIDS Walk and help support an amazing cause!
NEW THIS YEAR!
We are proud to announce the addition of online ‘giving pages’ through canadahelps.org. This will make it much easier to organize pledges and encourage your friends and family to donate! Set up your own personal page by going to canadahelps.org, then select Living Positive Resource Centre as your charity and post a personal message to your friends and family! It’s as easy as changing your facebook status to provide a direct link to your page and watching the pledges pour in!
With the addition of the online ‘giving pages’ comes a chance to win an amazing prize for the Top Online Fundraiser! Be as creative as possible, promote the cause and get the message out using facebook, twitter or other social networking tool!
 We ask you to join us once again as an individual walker, gather a group of family members, friends or co-workers to form a team, or make a monetary donation. Team members can support and encourage each other, as well as compete against other teams. There are many exciting prizes that have been donated from businesses within the community and will be awarded to the top fundraiser teams and individuals. So get creative, dress up, and come be a part of this huge event! Whether you’re decked out in a crazy costume, sporting a red t-shirt, or just strolling through the park; we hope to see you at The 14th Annual Okanagan AIDS Walk!
